Four Lanterns Winery
Four Lanterns Winery resides on 35 acres on the west side of Paso Robles in the formidable Willow Creek AVA. This area, renowned for hot days, cool nights and soil riddled with calcareous stone, provides a perfect environment for making exceptional wines.
The hill on the vineyard was originally terraced for an apple farm in the early 1900's. In the late 1970s and early 1980s the property was revitalized with the creation of Sycamore Farms - an herb farm and vineyard. Jackie and Steve Gleason purchased the property in 2013. In addition to expanding and improving the vineyard, they created Four Lanterns Winery (named for their four daughters).
Four Lanterns Winery specializes in wine varietals native to France's Rhone Valley, and focuses on making estate wines in order to capitalize on the natural strengths of the vineyard. The resulting wines are beautifully complex, balanced, and wonderful to drink.
Tasting Room Hours: 11 am-5 pm Thursday thru Monday

A wondrous confluence of emotions has guided us through our first few years at Four Lanterns Winery. The thrill and fear of a new venture, the anxiety of a major life change, the warmth of encouragement from friends, and the consternation of being neophytes, are all overwhelmed by the pure excitement we feel when we taste our wines and pour them for friends. Come see the historic property, walk the 30 year old vineyard, and join us in the tasting room for some beautifully crafted wines.
